About
SGMUN Conference
An ambitious group of St. George’s School students, with the backing of the school administration represented by Mr. Richard Zananiri and the teaching staff, founded the SGMUN (St. George’s School Model United Nations) conference, an educational simulation program of the genuine MUN. Those committed pupils began their first MUN conference in 2022, and since then, students ranging in grade level from ninth to high school have been the target audience for our conference. Participants in this curriculum can enhance their debating abilities, persuasiveness, fluency in English, and problem-solving dexterity in addition to learning about diplomacy and international issues at the SGMUN conference. The initiative is scheduled to launch in August 2024 following months of meetings, training, and unending planning.
Our team is made up of several driven, aspirational, and committed students who have shown a strong sense of responsibility and a sincere desire to share this exceptional experience with students from other schools. A student board, coordinator, head of administration, administrators, delegates, and logistics make up the team. Typically, the assignments are assigned based on the aptitudes, interests, and potential of the students. The students often set up both physical and virtual meetings to talk about any program-related concerns as well as training sessions. They also vote to select an agenda that includes a variety of committees and themes.
